The cops came, we had well over 100 people but it was a blast...

I invited everybody over that let me stay with them while i was saving money for Paris...
8 in all, plus my roomie and myself... that's a lot of brunch to make...
I made:
1 cheese quiche
1 cheese/bacon quiche
1 corn/onion/swiss frittata served with roasted tomato salsa
1 chedder and ham frittata [everybodies fave]
4 loaves of french bread
cinnamon rolls
bloody marys [actually my roomie made them]
mimosa's
screw drivers
i made the biggest mess ever, but got all of the food on the table at a decent hour. Turned into a 6 hour drunk brunch...
sam was my sous chef, i stayed at her and alex's apartment before they moved in. I helped paint and christened the apartment.
i stayed at emily's fabulous apartment in williamsburg. We have very similar tastes in furniture...
Maurice and Jorge let me stay at their apartment while they were in water island, plus a few days when they were back... it was nice living in the east village a few blocks from my favourite bars...
but dangerous...
my roomie bartended
joyce, on the left is very little, so i fit very easily into her big apartment on the lower east side. plus she has 2 bedrooms which helps.
alex and emily... friend's with benefits...
jorge is at the head of the table:
tiz is to his right, and to his left the very rarely photographed jen
chris and i finished our dead animal collage:
that's all for now.
i'm off to watch obama get sworn in, i always cry at these things, it's embarressing.

i was tired and let early and missed the sacrificing of the glittered lamb...

i'm 30-something years old and never owned a digital camera till last month, for my trip.
so i took 2000 pictures. ugh, that's why i hate litle camera's... and half the pictures are of stupid shit...
i was supposed to get rid of mine as soon as i got back, but am trying to wean myself off of it.
in the meantime:
the contents of the bar:
that's glassware for over a 100 people and a whole lot of pack-ratty stuff. it's what happens when you have a spare room to pile crap into.
it's on the dining room table so i can paint the bar and put in the new light [actually an electrition friend of a friend did, he used to DJ at the garage in the 80s.. he was an older guy with a black bob, cool looking. ]

so,
i'm back in nyc, glad to be back home. bored cause i'm not working, stressed cause i'm not working, but not really, cause i've been slow before and it always picks up [ denile ain't just a river in africa]
my last night in paris, after the flight from barcelona, we went out in the freezing freezing cold to some bar in the marais, that had cute little private booths in the basement... perfect for canoodling or having photo shoots:
so i survived dragging my 2 tons of suitcases and crap home, got to sleep in my own bed for the first time in 4 months and now am in a dazed state trying to get used to it all...
i havn't seen anyone or gone out since i've been back, but i am planning my grand debut tomorrow night for some birthday drinks for theresa, here's her bday video:
and i think i'll go to my regular hang out on wednesday and play pool...
i will keep posting on this blog till i get bored. i'm redecorating the bar [almost done] am having a thank-you-for-letting-me-stay-with-you-and-make-a-mess-on-your-bed brunch on sundday so i'll put up some pix of that. plus of course the valentines day party if i'm so inclined...
or maybe this will be all, and it will become a cult hit for future generations, and I will be played by Brad and Angelina's 9th son in the movie version.

i also did an isolation tank float in barcelona...
helen and i had found a place in amsterdam that did them, but we didn't have time to go...
it was fun, but my shoulders are so tense from the stress of my modelling career that i found it hard to relax.
was still cool though, maybe i'll try it in new york. it costs $75 a session here...
an artist interpertation of my float:
i look like borack obama though...

... we slept till real late, and afterwords, took the cable car up the mountain [just like the opening barcelona scene in all about my mother] and ended up at an old castle at the top [i was terrible about researching the site's here, tiz was in charge of that, thats why we ended up at the wrong catherdal :)]
it was pretty:
we arrived at dusk and i got some cool pics of the city:
the port:
tourists:
and trees:
afterwords we were headed for the train and wandered past a bar with individual taps on each table... it was a dream come true. i think i cried a little:
we were just going to have a quick drink, till we saw this french fry dish wandering by. it was all over than...
next came seafood. please, can anyone identify the seafood in the back? we can't figure out what it is...
the best part is that they list on a board what you're drinking so you can keep track.
tiz and I were table #9
i was supposed to go to a homosexual establishment that night, but we crashed and i stayed in...

so we made dinner,
first we had a domestic appetizer/surf the internet for places to go out session...
we are so domestic:
while I, being the good husband, cooked while tiz embarked on a 2 hour, getting ready to go out session. there are some shower pics, email me for them...
i made pan fried sea bass [2 kinds] and seafood risotto...
so we headed out to las ramblas for midnite... fortunately it was 5 minutes away cause we were late late late...
arrived with 4 minutes to spare...
armed with 12 grapes [you eat one every toll of the clock]
was fun!!!
afterwords we bought a bottle or cava and wandered the streets before going home to go out...
following some shill on a website, we went to a bar somewhere far away... [the williamsburg of barcelona i think ] and ended up at a fun, but full-love-englishman night club. but we had fun and they had cool lights and video projections...
and we sat in the back and took pictures of ourselves...
we're so vain... we probably think this blog is about us...
the subways are open 24 hours [just for new years eve] so it was fun taking the subway with the crowd...
tiz is attracted to gay men like a wasp to a bright light, and she was excited to see this guy was conveniently labled for her, but turns out it said something else:
i am loving my new red scarf... i'd look hot in a burka no?
and to sleep...
